Oscar nominees
About 50 mins ago, all Oscar nominees are revealed. The official website is now updated:

"Letters From Iwo Jima" got nominated for "Best Motion Picture of the Year" as well as "Achievement in Directing" and "Original Screenplay"!!
Besides, "Flags Of Our Fathers" and Letters both got nominated for "Achievement in sound editing" and Flags is also a nominee for "Achievement in sound mixing." :D
No actors from Letters/Flags got selected as Oscar nominees, but I'm simply glad to see this nomination list.... A movie spoken in Japanese got nominated for Best Picture.... I've never expected that (if you are a Japanese and love watching movies, you'd know what I mean) and I really wanna cry with joy...!! (T-T)
And, as a fan of Arashi, I'm really proud of Nino for his brilliant acting in the movie...!

I think many Japanese will also feel glad. Rinko Kikuchi was nominated for Babel too. ^__^
Yeah, I'm really thankful for the decision by the film company. If they released Letters as planned..., Letters might not get such good reactions.... The results are too good to believe! ^_^
I'm also happy to see Rinko Kikuchi became a nominee as supporting actress. (^-^) She was the actress who played a role in a funny TV ad with KimuTaku, and she looked totally different in it! I also love the actor, Koji Yakusho, who played as her father, so I can't wait to watch Babel at cinema in April! ^_^
Good job Clint. He's the one who pushed the film for an earlier release not forgetting for picking Nino as Saigo.
I'm glad it got through even without any acting nominations but am proud of Nino because he's the heart of the movie. Letters From Iwo Jima might get a win. Lets hope Nino will attend the ceremony

True. Though all the cast did great acting in the Letters, Nino's acting as Saigo is the key of this film, isn't it?
I do hope Nino will attend the ceremony, but "Love so sweet" will be out on 21 Feb. in Japan - that means Arashi might be busy promoting the single at the time.... :( Wondering if JE can manage to handle his schedule alright...?
