I just noticed that Tekkon's official blog has a new entry posted by Director Michael Arias. According to his entry, he's now making English-dubbed version of Tekkon in L.A.
Hmmmm..... I wonder if they'll also make English subtitle version...?
Or will only dubbed version be showing in the U.S.?
Just curious....
Sorry to bother you all, but I have a favour....
Today I noticed that the latest issue of French movie magazine "Cahiers Du Cinema" (February 2007, No.620) features Mr Eastwood and "Letters."
http://www.cahiersducinema.com/article974.html
Our local bookshops don't import the mag and it's already sold out on Japanese online bookshop Kinokuniya bookweb.*sob*
Can anyone from France please help me? I'd love to have this copy! >_<
If you could get this issue for me, I'd be glad to exchange with something you want from Japan. It doesn't matter if your wanted stuff is related to Arashi or not!
Please PM me if you are willing to help me. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for everyone who PM'd me. It's so nice of you!
Thankfully, I'll be getting a copy of Cahiers with Nino cover. *bow in thanks*
Now we can watch the "Letters" press conf & red carpet videos on the Berlinale website. ^_^
Streaming Sunday 07-02-11 Letters From Iwo Jima @ The Berlinale
Just about 30 mins ago, Letters press conference at the Berlinale finished. I was lucky enough to watch the video streaming from the beginning of photo session to the end of the conf without much problem.
Most of the questions went to Mr Eastwood, so Nino wasn't be seen most of the time. However, I was *so* moved to see when the press gave a big applause to Nino when he bowed to them in the beginning of the conference.
Also, there was one funny moment. Someone asked a question to Clint first, then to Nino (I couldn't catch what she said as the streaming was buffering then), so Clint answered first and when he finished answering, Nino should have started to answer the question, but he didn't realize it. Then he noticed and got surprised and said something like "Sorry!" Then all the press lauged. Ah, he didn't mean it, but it was funny! ^o^
While watching video streaming, I also tried to capture it, but it turned out that I could cap only the last 18 mins so far.... That means I couldn't cap the photo session scenes and Nino answering a question to press....*sob*
I can't believe it! When I tested yesterday I didn't have any problem to cap the streaming.... >_<
I hope everything will be put on archive tomorrow, then I can watch it again....
I already mentioned about this in my comment on the previous post, but I'll post as a separate entry here.
In Game Nikki (the Nino diary/blog on the official JE mobile website), updated on 2 February, he mentioned that he'd probably NOT be going to the Academy Awards ceremony because the shooting schedule of TV drama Haikei is getting seriously tight now. Also he implied another reason for not going to the US; the new song ("Love so sweet" apparently) will be out (on 21 February) and Arashi will appear on TV show(s).
Ahhhhhh. I had a faint hope when I read the sanspo article about his appearance at the Berinale and the Paris preview, but it's shattered now....*sob* Poor US fans....
I wished he'd go to London after the Paris preview and do some promotion activities for the Letters, as the film will be shown on screen from 23 February in the UK.... Though I know it wouldn't be happened as Nino is probably returning to Japan for the live music TV show Music Station, where Arashi will perform on 16 Feb....
Actually, I was really surprised to know the schedule for Haikei is tight now. From several interviews of Nino and other casts, I knew that all the scripts had been already written before the shooting started. This is rare thing in Japanese TV drama industry these days. Also, Nino even wrote in his Game Nikki that the shooting of Haikei went very smoothly and often finished earlier than planned. So I wonder why it suddenly get changed like that.... *sigh*
Anyway, Nino wrote about going to Berlin and Paris in the Nikki. So we can take it as confirmed. I hope many reports would come up from German/French/any other European fans...!

This article is mainly about yesterday's preview of the film "Kiiroi Namida" in Tokyo, but in the last section, they mention that Nino is attending the red carpet event(?) at the Berlinale (Berlin International Film Festival) on 11 February!!
Also, he will appear at the premiere preview of "Letters From Iwo Jima" in Paris on 14 February!
I never ever expect this would happen...!

I feel like meeting the director and co-stars."

I was watching Zoom In Super (Japanese morning TV show), and it just popped out. Newscaster read the above Nino's comment.
Nino! Go to the Oscar ceremony next month and meet Clint, cast and staff! You are deserved!
About 50 mins ago, all Oscar nominees are revealed. The official website is now updated:
http://www.oscar.com/nominees/?pn=list
"Letters From Iwo Jima" got nominated for "Best Motion Picture of the Year" as well as "Achievement in Directing" and "Original Screenplay"!!
Besides, "Flags Of Our Fathers" and Letters both got nominated for "Achievement in sound editing" and Flags is also a nominee for "Achievement in sound mixing." :D
No actors from Letters/Flags got selected as Oscar nominees, but I'm simply glad to see this nomination list.... A movie spoken in Japanese got nominated for Best Picture.... I've never expected that (if you are a Japanese and love watching movies, you'd know what I mean) and I really wanna cry with joy...!! (T-T)
And, as a fan of Arashi, I'm really proud of Nino for his brilliant acting in the movie...!
Yesterday (it's already January 17th here) NEWS ZERO, the news TV program that Sho appears as newscaster every Monday, got a comment from Nino on winning the Best Foreign Language Film Award.
「おめでとうございます
そしてありがとうございますっ!
という気持ちです」
"Congratulations
and thank you very much!
- that's what I feel now."
Ahhh, thank you, NEWS ZERO! You are the first TV program that read out Nino's comment!
Wish they could interview Nino about it, but probably he must be busy with filming drama Haikei or other stuffs. Well, it's better than nothing. ^__^
